How much do the pros get paid?

Unfortunately very little. Only a small portion of boxers make the big bucks. An average journeyman could earn between $2000-$2500 for a fight, on a good night. Most of us probably had to try and sell our own tickets to the show at some point too. The bigger the event and the higher the stakes the more you will get paid though. When you get to world title level bouts you could earn anything from 100 thousand up to multi million dollar pay check, depending on how popular you are. Many journeymen are paid knowing they are going to lose against an up and coming prospect but that's okay because it's us journeymen that keep the sport alive.
