So you got knocked down?

It's cool man. You're fine. It happens. Breathe. This is boxing after all right? Don't worry though, I'm going to show you how to get back into the fight after you've hit the canvas.

1. Stay Calm: Freaking out, getting all angry, or worked up about the knock down can distract you and hurt you even more later in the fight.

2. Take a sec to collect yourself: You're gonna be confused, like what just happened? But if you collect yourself right before you get up instead of while you get up, you can use the time to rest.

3. Start to get up: Start by getting on your hands and knees. From there, just take it slow until you find yourself upright and kneeling with one leg. Then when your ready just push yourself up to your feet.

4. Regain your balance and agility: After you've been knocked down, you may feel your legs to be a little weak. It is absolutely crucial that you move around the ring and not go in to deep into the strike zone until you've gained some of that leg power back. Jab and keep moving, keep some distance and disrupt their rhythm.

5. Wait for the counters: Before you start unleashing the beast, take some time to build your confidence back up and get your rhythm again. Counter punches can be super effective if executed correctly and when they land you'll get a much needed boost of confidence and look from your opponent that says, "Oh this isn't gonna be easy, is it?"
